This post is dedicated to my Grandmother, she passed away on Monday. -”You have to take the bad with the good”- Even though I seem to need to repeat this statement often it’s ok because I have her sweet voice attached to it, always helps soften the blow. She had the best hug, it would envelop you. My addiction to wintergreen mints started with her and I always picture her pulling the roll of Velamints out of her purse to give me one, or three. She was one hell of a baker, the holidays always involved the dining room table being filled with cookies of all sorts. When I picture in her in my mind it is almost always in the kitchen making food for the big crowd we inevitably had around or at least at the kitchen table playing a rousing game of pinochle. I have so many memories of her swirling in my head and these are just a few. I’m so happy to have them and I will never forget.
In case you haven’t heard I’ve moved to Portland, Oregon.
